Residents of Zell Am See complain about excessive noise
City officials have received a lot of complaints from Zell Am See residents and other nearby resorts with the requirement to control noise in the resort night facilities. After the check local authorities have administratively set the possible level of noise, which should not exceed 65 decibels. According to the results of a recent check, a number of discos and night bars don’t observe the established standards. In some cases the level of noise reached 100 decibels or higher. Currently fines for exceeding the noise level at the Austrian ski resorts reach 3500 Euros and more. In addition, inspectors have the right to close down the facility, which violates the rules. Apres-ski is one of the main features of the most ski resorts in the Tyrol and Salzburg regions. Dozens of resorts have their own well-established reputation among the lovers of winter parties.
